Interested in developing a painless and x-ray free breast cancer screening system?
Tiro Medical is developing a new system to screen for breast cancer and we are looking for volunteers from the Canterbury region of New Zealand.
The system is non-invasive, which means that it does not require x-rays or injections. It simply vibrates the breast and monitors the motion via a camera array. By analysing this motion the presence of a lump may be determined.
Volunteers will be asked to undergo a screening session on the new system. The session involves lying face-down on a padded machine whilst a small (1mm) vibration is applied to each breast.
We have had a great response to our request for volunteers and we are now seeking volunteers with breast cancer who have not yet had surgery.
