Our Team

Dr Jessica Fitzjohn - CEO

Jessica (Jessie) has a background in mechanical engineering and moved into the biomedical space completing a PhD designing diagnostic algorithms for the non-invasive breast cancer sceening technology. Her skills include mathematical modelling, large-scale data analysis and diagnostic algorithm development.

She is currently being trained in Quality and Regulatory Procedures to conform with ISO 13485 and is part of Kiwinet Emerging Innovators to gain direct leadership and commercialisation skills and connections.

Dr Cong Zhou - CSO

Cong has a PhD in structural health monitoring, focusing on the intersection of fundamental theory and applications in the areas of nonlinear dynamic systems, system modeling, control, and system identification. He has been focused on applying these research skills to modelling breast tissue vibration to improve diagnosis decision making, supported by his expertise in the use of computer vision, structured light sensors, artificial intelligence / machine learning, and an additional range of mechatronics and software focused capabilities.

Cong will lead the computational modelling, development of intelligent diagnostic algorithm and innovation of imaging system to support vision of Tiro Medical as pioneer in breast cancer screening.
