Personalized care has been shown to increase equity of access by increasing productivity through reduced costs of patient care and improved patient outcomes. They have the world’s only digital twin for ICU care in use at reference-site hospitals in multiple countries. Tiro Analytics is currently looking to raise capital to upgrade existing, patented digital twins for glycemic control and mechanical ventilation and extend them into ICU cardiovascular management. We have made contact with NZ VCs and are also looking to EU and US investors.

Digital Twins for Optimal ICU Care

Tiro Medical develops intelligent medical informatics point-of-care systems to personalise, optimise, and semi-automate care. We improve healthcare outcomes via the combination of two methods:

Clarification

We use software algorithms to turn a confusing and sometimes contradictory-appearing wealth of clinical data into clear physiological pictures and metrics that clarify the clinical situation.

Personalized treatment simulation

Our technology creates a digital clone of the patient. This simulates the patient’s future response to treatment, enabling our products to automatically calculate the optimum, personalized treatment for the individual. Minimizing risk, maximising outcomes, and reducing costs.

We target the three main causes of ICU admission: length of stay, mortality, and cost, namely mechanical ventilation, glycaemic management, cardiovascular monitoring and diagnosis, as well as breast cancer diagnosis.

Outcomes for the use of our technology in the ICU include:

  • Reduced length of ICU stay (up to 33%)

  • Reduced mortality and morbidity

  • Reduced healthcare costs

  • Increased resource availability
